 | 08/01/07 - $3 Million In Grants Distributed By CCF January-June 2007 ST. PAUL, MN – The Catholic Community Foundation awarded 884 grants totaling $2,995,267 from January-June 2007. Grant distributions are from endowments, donor advised funds and other funds of the Foundation. Since inception, the Catholic Community Foundation has distributed $53 million in grants to support the spiritual, educational and social needs of the community.
Of the $3 million distributed during the past six months, 40% of the grant money went to support education, 20% to fund social services, 19% to parishes, 5% to seminaries, and 16% to other religious organizations.
A complete list of grants is available upon request and will be published in the Foundation’s Annual Report for the fiscal year ended 6/30/07. The Catholic Community Foundation (www.catholiccommunityfoundation.org) is the nation’s largest community foundation serving Catholic philanthropy.
