What is the Catholic Community Foundation?

The Catholic Community Foundation was founded in 1992 within the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis in Minnesota.  Our mission is to support financially the spiritual, educational and social needs of our Catholic community.

We fulfill this mission by:

  • seeking endowment funds that support our mission;
  • helping donors achieve their charitable and financial goals;
  • helping parishes, schools and Catholic organizations meet their long-term financial needs;
  • providing responsible and effective financial management; and
  • distributing earnings according to community priorities and donor intent.

Since its creation, the Foundation has distributed more than $60 million in grants to the community.

The Foundation currently manages endowment assets in excess of $121 million. In addition to “Family of Faith” Endowment funds, donors to the Foundation are able to choose among a number of fund options to benefit their favorite charities. They include: Donor Advised Funds, Designated Beneficiary Funds and Field of Interest Funds. In addition, the Foundation offers life income arrangements via Charitable Gift Annuities, Deferred Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts.
