Who Receives Grants

The Catholic Community Foundation's grant activities mirror our mission:  To support financially the spiritual, educational and social needs of the Catholic community in the 12-county area of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota.  We also have affiliations with the Diocese of New Ulm in Minnesota to assist their residents and parishes with our services.

We invite you to join us in our mission.  To learn how to get started, click here.

During fiscal year 2007, the Foundation distributed $6 million in grants -- as seen in this pie chart.

We are very proud of the fact that in our short history, the Foundation has distributed more than $55 million in grants to the community.

Interested In Receiving A Grant?

Grants are made only to non-profit organizations that are defined as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code.

While most of the gifts to the Catholic Community Foundation are designated or donor advised, a Community Priorities Fund has been established to help address the pressing needs in our community. Since 2000, grants have been made from the fund to non-profit organizations working in support of the initiatives identified by the Board.

If your non-profit organization is interested in applying for a grant from the Community Priorities Fund, click here.
